Self Portrait and Portraits Part I

 Play with Eye Contact

It is amazing how much the direction of your subject’s eyes can impact an image. Most portraits have the subject looking down the lens – something that can create a real sense of connection between a subject and those viewing the image.

 Experiment with Lighting

Another element of randomness that you can introduce to your portraits is the way that you light them. There are almost unlimited possibilities when it comes to using light in portraits.

Experiment with Subject Expressions

In some portraits it is the expression on the face of your subject that makes the image.

Get your subject to experiment with different moods and emotions in your image. Play with extreme emotions

Environmental portrait: I really like the light and the posture of both of them.

 photography self portrait: i love how original they are and in the first one i love the funny feeling. The second one is just beautiful.

casual portrait: The first picture is beautiful. it is so natural and the mood of the picture is so clear. In the second The angle makes it look so much more interesting.

Aperture, shutter speed and ISO - how do they all work?

it is  faster.

I love how theres some photos that make me really sad and others that make me feel extremely happy.

2. The photographer said this: "These photographs do not define us, but they are us." What do you think about this comment now that you have looked at the photos?
 I think he was saying that even though this photos are important  they don't represent their relationship.

3. Do you think you could shoot photos like this if you were in this situation?
yes, I would take pictures of this. It is sad but she is still alive.
4. If you could write Angelo a letter, what would you say to him?
I would say that he is a beautiful and optimistic person.

Nick brandt is a photographer who work sin africa with the animals. He spends a huge amount of hours waiting for the animals to get closer. He loves working with the wildlife of africa

I love this photo. I like how you are transported to another completely different place. It is not how you picture Africa even though is obvious. Some rules of photography are lines in the zebras ,symmetry and simplicity.

5. What kind of camera and lens does he use and why is this important?
he doesn't use anything to zoom in the animals, he uses normal lenses and waits to the animals to get closer to him.

1.) What first caught your eye while looking at your photographers photos? Is there something in particular about their photos that made you want to choose them? Post the images with your writing.
There is many things I love about the photos. both of them are really interesting. They really make me wonder about the story behind them.

I smell the fresh air of the forest, touching my skin

I hear the people

I taste the pain 

I feel the cold wind 

I smell the smoke

I hear the explosion

I taste the good and bad of this picture

I feel confused about it.
