Josef Koudelka

Josef koudelka was born the 10th of january  1938, in the Chez Republic. he used the Bakelite camera to photograph his surroundings  . From 1956 to 1951, he studied at the Czech Technical university in Prague. His first photography exhibition book took place during 1961 . Josef Koudelka started working  in commission for the theatre publications, and took images of stage shows in Pregue. He worked as an engineer until he decided to focus completely towards photography. 

during he soviet incursion, He documented the warsaw pact militants as they captured Prague and demolished  Czech development. The pictures were published anonymously in The Sunday Times.
In 1970 he moved to England, where he worked for 10 years.
 during the 70s and 80s he won several awards and grants. 
He published a book during 1999 titled Chaos. Josef koudlka has published more than 12 books oh his photos.
by 1987 he became a citizen of France and in 1990 he was finally able to return to his homeland.
